Our Admissions Process
First of all: Thanks for your interest in Westminster. We’re glad you found our school to be as special a place as we do. If you haven’t applied to a charter school in the past, here are the steps you and your family will need to take:

- Submit your application to Westminster—it only takes a few minutes.
- Mark your calendar for lottery day!
As a public charter and community school, we don’t have admissions requirements, but we have some admission priorities that help us stay true to our mission. Our admission priorities are as follows (and honored in order):
- Special education students
- English language learners
- Applicants with siblings attending Westminster
- Applicants residing in the 14215 zip code
- Applicants residing in the Buffalo Public School District

The lottery for the 2023–2024 school year will be on APRIL 12, 2023.

How to re-enroll—a guide for returning students and their families.
Returning parents and family members may complete re-enrollment by logging into your student’s Google Classroom account. There, you’ll find a digital re-enrollment form you can complete quickly and easily from home. Here are step-by-step directions to guide you through this process.
- Go to the Assignment section of your child’s class and open the assignment “Re-Enrollment.”
- When you click on the document, Google will open in preview mode. At the top of the page, find “Open With” and select “Adobe for Google Drive.”
- If it asks which account to open with, please select your child’s. (It will only ask this the first time a file is opened using Adobe for Google Drive.)
- Fill out all sections of the document. If you receive a red warning box, it’s OK to dismiss it and continue with completing the document.
- At the top of the page is a “Save” button—press it when complete.
- After you have saved your completed Re-Enrollment Packet, return to the Google Classroom Assignment page and select “Turn In.” (If the document is still in preview mode, press the “Escape” key to return to the Assignment page.)
That’s It! You’re done with the re-enrollment process. If any parts are missing or more information is needed, someone from the Westminster team will be in touch. And if you prefer completing paper copies, please contact the school, and we will have packets available for you to pick up.
