Teresa Gerchman
Principal
“I have been in education since graduating in 1986. Although my first degree was in engineering, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I became an administrator in 2003 and started working in urban charter schools. I was lucky enough to be asked to go to some other states to work with school turnaround efforts. This gave me various experiences with what a school needs to be successful and how to achieve that success. Westminster’s focus on community is what drew me to the school. I wanted to be part of a school with an excellent history of developing well-rounded students able to compete at any of the high schools in the Buffalo area.”

Chelsea Elledge
Assistant Principal
“My name is Ms. Elledge and I am honored to return to the Westminster community, where I first began my career in education many years ago. After leaving WCCS to pursue my master’s degree in Educational Leadership, I gained valuable school-building and district-level leadership experience throughout Western New York, supporting the implementation of restorative practices, trauma-informed interventions, and school-culture initiatives. These opportunities further strengthened my belief in the power of student-centered, relationship-driven learning. I am truly grateful to “join the pride” once again, bringing a deep commitment to fostering a supportive, restorative, and academically rigorous environment in which every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.”

Brian Macey
Director of Special Education
“For over a decade, I’ve been committed to enhancing the learning of our students and families at Westminster Community Charter School. With multiple degrees in History, Differentiated Instruction, and Special Education, I hold certifications in social studies, students with disabilities, and gifted and talented education. I began teaching in 2005 and joined Westminster as a Special Education Teacher in 2013. During my time here, I was first promoted to Special Education Coordinator, and most recently, became the Director of Special Education.”

Student Council.
Our Student Council is a small group of 7th and 8th grade students who share the common interest of exercising a positive voice both individually and collectively and representing Westminster. These students are selected based on dependability, leadership skills and desire to give back to the community. They are responsible for coordinating events to raise money for 8th grade field trips and graduation, supporting family nights and guiding guests and visitors on tours through our school as well as many other amazing community service opportunities.
Parent Council.
Our Parent Advisory Committee is made up of parents and guardians who give their time and energy to make our school and community the best it can be. They work together to maintain an active community, inspire a positive school culture, and build a strong parent network. This parent group meets regularly to advance plans of action and host activities that help our students flourish.
