Below is a letter to Mr. Tepas and Mr. Bower from Quicy's parents.

Dear Mr. Tepas & Mr. Bower,

I wanted to take the time to  express my pride in actions and accomplishments of my son and your 2nd Grade student Quincy Robinson. Without being prompted, Quincy wanted to speak with the  pastor of our church, prior to last evening Bible Study. He asked the pastor if  it would be okay to ask the congregation for donations to help support his class and his school in raising funds for cancer research. The pastor agreed and allowed Quincy to address the congregation at the end of service. Quincy raised  $330.00 and will be bringing those funds to school tomorrow.

I don't believe that Quincy  is aware of how cancer has affected most people in the congregation either directly or indirectly. In particular, he has had grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all diagnosed with some form of cancer; some who have survived and some who have perished. However, he does know that when he needs help with  anything, he can always go to his family and church family for assistance and support.

On behalf of the Redeeming Fire Fellowship Church, Pastor D. Allen  Keaton, the church congregation, and particularly Quincy Marshall Robinson, we gladly donate Three Hundred Thirty dollars with the hopes that this will add in  the efforts to combat this devastating disease.

Thank  you,

John and Elnora  Robinson

Parents of Quincy Robinson
