Afterschool Program 

Our afterschool programs runs during the year which entails a variety of academic support along with several clubs and activities.

Goal of the Program:

To give our students the support needed to be successful in the classroom, grow socially, support the teachers and support staff, and raise test scores across all grade levels at Westminster.

Program Overview:

The program will run Monday-Wednesday from 3:30-5:30, and Thursday and Friday from 2:30-5:30. Regardless of the day of the week all students will dismiss at 3:30 or 5:00 each day. On Monday-Wednesday the tutors will provide support to the teacher by ensuring that all homework is completed and checked for student accuracy and understanding. Following the students homework the tutors will have the opportunity to teach in three different topic areas including health and nutrition, great world leaders and graphic organizers and study strategies. Tutors will also be having a read aloud when time allows. On Thursdays and Fridays the tutors will ensure the homework is complete and checked, as well as teach a lesson in one of the aforementioned topic areas. The tutors in each room will be taking attendance each day, and taking a snack count each day that will be returned to Mr. Lynch on a daily basis.
