Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young. ~ Henry Ford                                                                                                                                                                                           One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.  ~  Carl Jung                                                                                                                                           "I recognize the right and duty of this generation to develop and use our natural resources, but I do not recognize the right to waste them, or rob by wasteful use, the generations that come after us." ~ Theodore Roosevelt

M&T Bank Partnership with WCCS

The story begins with M & T Bank Corporation Chairman, Robert G. Wilmers’ vision in 1993 to give something back to the community by improving education at one of the city’s lowest performing schools.  That vision led to the selection of School 68 and the formation of the Westminster Community School Partnership – a collaboration of business, community, and educational representatives, formed to turn around a troubled urban school.  Through years of work and dedication, that goal has gradually been realized.
