The 7 Habits

 

Habit 1 - Be Proactive:

You're in Charge of Yourself

I take responsibility for my own life, moods, words and actions.  I don't blame others for my problems, but I do work to fix them. 

Habit 2 - Begin With the End in Mind:  Have a Plan for Your Future!

I plan ahead and set goals.  I do things that have meaning and significance.  I know that what I do today affects what I can do in the future. 

Habit 3 - Put First Things First:

Work First, Then Play

I prioritize and put the most important things first.  I say no to things that don't match my priorities.  I am prepared and organized.

Habit 4 - Think Win-Win:

 Everybody Can Win

I have an everyone can win attitude.  I problem solve when an issue comes up with another person.  I think about what other people want and not just what I want.  I am kind to others and try to think of ways to help others be happy.

Habit 5 - Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood:

Listen Before You Speak

I listen to people in a genuine way without interrupting.  I try to understand other people's feelings, even if they are different from my own.

Habit 6 - Synergize:

Together is Better

I know that I can work with others in order to achieve more.  I value other people's strengths and can work well with people who are different from me. 

Habit 7 - Sharpen the Saw:

Balance Feels Best

I know how to balance family, friends and responsibilities.  I take time to take care of myself and to help others.
